2020 Plato Partnership Conference on Market Structure in Europe and Beyond

Description

2020 Plato Market Innovator Conference on Market Structure in Europe and Beyond
Wednesday 23rd September: 09.00 - 11.00 and 13.00 - 15.00
Thursday 24th September: 09.00 - 12.00 and 12.00 - 15.00

Plato Partnership is excited to announce their 2020 annual Market Innovator Conference bringing together Academics and Market Practitioners. Due to the ongoing pandemic, we have made the decision to host this year’s conference online.

The conference will be held in four short sessions over two days so also mean that attendees can attend the sessions they are most interested in, rather than necessarily having to attend all aspects of the event in one day as is usually the case, adding a new degree of flexibility.

Last year, the MI3 Conference focused on the challenges posed by MiFID II, the shifting role of systematic internalisers and dark pool trading venues, and the broader regulatory trends in Europe. This year, over the course of two partial-days, respected academics from Universities across the world will present a number of papers on the most current trends and topics affecting market participants in Europe, including:

o Trading Fees and Intermarket Competition
o Informed Traders and Dealers in the FX Forward Market
o Stock-Specific Price Discovery from ETFs
o Trading on Long-term Information
o Order Exposure in High Frequency Markets
o Strategic Trading as a Response to Short Sellers
o The Rise of ETF Trading and the Bifurcation of Liquidity
o Cross-Venue Liquidity Provision: High Frequency Trading and Ghost Liquidity

In addition, the event will include a panel with leading industry experts and leaders in the world of Equities trading.
