The Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Macau and the Asia Pacific Journal of Accounting & Economics (APJAE) are honored to jointly host the 8th Conference of the World Accounting Frontiers Series (WAFS) on 4-6 December 2019.
With the theme “Accounting and Institutional Infrastructure”, this interdisciplinary conference aims at bridging the academic-practice gap through big data research and exchange of a wide spectrum of accounting knowledge. We welcome academia and practitioners worldwide to gather in Macau to share insights and incubate ideas for innovation and development, and we encourage diverse research topics from local indigenous accounting issues to global contemporary sustainability. Selected papers will be published in a special issue of APJAE on condition that they meet the APJAE quality standards. We invite you to exchange views and share insights on pertinent areas, including but not limited to the following:

Papers should be written in either English or Chinese and present original research. Both English and Chinese presentation sessions will be arranged for authors to interact and discuss their ideas and latest works in their preferred language.
Accepted papers are eligible to compete for eight Best Paper Award, which will be decided by the Scientific Committee based on the originality, relevance, and impact of the presented research.
Submission deadline of papers and extended abstracts: August 31, 2019.
