“What role do analysts play in today’s financial markets?”

The Centre for Financial Analysis and Reporting Research (CeFARR) at Cass Business School is proud to host a one-day conference on new trends in analyst research. We particularly encourage submissions of papers on the impact of MiFID II, but other analyst-related topics are also welcomed. The conference will feature presentations by finance practitioners and prominent academics. Confirmed practitioner speakers include Giasone Salati, head of European media research at Macquarie, James Grzinic, head of retail team at Jefferies & Co., Gareth Evans, managing director at Progressive Equity Research, and Charles Combe, director of European sales at Edison. Finance professionals will also attend the conference, which offers an opportunity to network and validate academic research. A total of seven academic papers will be presented on the day.

Edwin Schooling Latter, the U.K. financial regulator Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) Markets Policy Director, and
Stanimir Markov, Ashbel Smith Professor of Accounting, University of Texas at Dallas
