Description

The Southern Finance Association (SFA) is pleased to announce the 2025 SFA Annual Meeting will be held at the Waldorf Astoria in Orlando, Florida from November 19-22, 2025. Papers on any area of finance will be considered along with proposals for panel discussions, special sessions, or tutorials.

Paper Submission: Please submit papers electronically in PDF format at the conference website: (https://www.openconf.org/sfa2025/openconf.php). Submissions will be accepted until the deadline of Friday, March 15 (11:59pm EST), 2025. The SFA charges a $50 submission fee for conference submissions.

Instructions for submitting papers with all authors being doctoral students: The submission fee is waived for papers where all authors are doctoral students. If any problem is encountered during the fee waiver process, please send an email containing the title of the paper and contact information to: southernfinance2025@gmail.com. Please include in the email the heading Doctoral student paper.

Submitted papers should not have been accepted for publication at the time of submission and will be double-blind reviewed by members of the program committee. Authors of the accepted papers will be notified by June 20, 2025.

Special Sessions, Panel Discussions, and Tutorials: Those wishing to organize a special session, panel discussion, or tutorial should submit a proposal directly to the VP-Program (southernfinance2025@gmail.com).

Program Committee: Volunteers are needed to serve on the program committee. Please visit the conference website (https://www.openconf.org/sfa2025/openconf.php) and sign up with code “sfa2025” to volunteer to serve as a program committee member.

Special Opportunities for Doctoral Students:
● A $1,000 award and waived conference registration fee for the Doctoral Student Best Paper.
● Two awards of $500 and waived conference registration fees for Doctoral Student Paper Runners-Up.
● Special sessions for doctoral students.
