The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and the Center for Real Estate Studies at Indiana University are organizing a conference to discuss how barriers to homeownership, supply constraints, and shifting housing preferences are influencing urban dynamics. The conference aims to bring together academics, practitioners, and policymakers to shine light on how the growing trend of "aging in place" and restrictive land use policies constrain the supply of new housing units, exacerbate affordability challenges, and reshape urban landscapes.
