Call for Papers:
The Department of Accounting and Finance of Lancaster University is delighted to host the second edition of the Lake District Workshop in Corporate Finance. We welcome submissions of research papers in all areas of Corporate Finance. Each paper will be assigned a discussant. Keynote speaker:
We are proud to announce that Professor Andrey Malenko will be our distinguished keynote speaker for the workshop.
Professor Malenko is a Professor in the Seidner Department of Finance at the Carroll School of Management, Boston College. He is a member of the Finance Theory Group, a research fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research, and, since 2023, a research member of the European Corporate Governance Institute. His research focuses on corporate finance, governance, mergers and acquisitions, auction theory, and information economics. Andrey is currently an Editor of the Review of Financial Studies.

The workshop will be hosted at The Belsfield Hotel in Bowness-on-Windermere, located in the English Lake District, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The hotel, overlooking Lake Windermere, combines natural beauty and peaceful ambience. The venue offers a vibrant and stimulating environment for the exchange of research ideas. Attendees will also have an opportunity to explore the area's historic sites and scenic landscapes, complementing the intellectual engagement of the workshop.
