The objective of this boutique conference is to present state-of-the-art academic research on topics related to Financial Institutions. There will be one track of presentations for two days. The relatively small scale and exotic location of the conference will not only provide an environment for in-depth discussions, but also an opportunity to enjoy winter activities in beautiful scenery, and with some luck, a possibility to see Aurora Borealis.
PROGRAM COMMITTEE AND ORGANIZER: Kari Heimonen (School of Business and Economics, University of Jyväskylä, Finland, chair), Thorsten Beck, (European University Institute, Florence, Italy), Itay Goldstein, (Wharton Finance, University of Pennsylvania, USA), Iftekhar Hasan, (Fordham University, New York, USA), Esa Jokivuolle, (Bank of Finland), Steven Ongena, (University of Zurich, Switzerland), Andreas Schrimpf, (Head of Financial Markets, BIS, Switzerland), Javier Suárez, (CEMFI, Spain) and Sami Vähämaa (University of Vaasa, Finland).
TOPICS: We welcome submissions from all areas related to functioning of financial institutions. Complete papers in an early stage will also be considered. Empirical, theoretical, and experimental papers are all welcome. Sample topics on financial Institutions include, but are not limited to:
