Conference dates
12 Jun 2025 - 13 Jun 2025
Location
Bocconi University Campus, Milan, Italy
Description
BAFFI CAREFIN Center at Bocconi University, the Journal of Corporate Finance, and the Centre for Economic Policy Research invite paper submissions for the two-day conference to be held in Milan, Italy on June 12-13.
The Conference and Journal of Corporate Finance Special Issue (JCF SI) will focus on information and contracts in firms. The general nature of the conference allows for a wide variety of empirical and theoretical topics. Some example topics include: fraud and corruption, the structure of financing, contracts and firm value, contracting and incentives, the role of information and contracts for other key stakeholders (such as employees, customers or suppliers), the role of information intermediaries, how firms determine their disclosure policies, particularly in regard to forming contracts with other parties, and the impact of big data on corporate contracts.
The conference will be hosted by the BAFFI CAREFIN Center at Bocconi University and will feature a mix of invited panels, paper sessions, and ample time for discussion and socialization. We are delighted to announce that Mike Ewens, the David L. and Elsie M. Dodd Professor of Finance at Columbia University, will be our keynote speaker.
Paper Submission Procedure:
The conference has two paper submission tracks:
The conference-track accepts paper submissions only for conference presentation, while the dual-track accepts paper submissions for both conference presentation and consideration for the Journal of Corporate Finance Special Issue. The special issue guest editors will be Audra Boone, Bruce Carlin, and Merih Sevilir.
The deadline for paper submissions is midnight US PST November 18, 2024. Papers should be submitted electronically at https://www.conftool.com/milan-jcf-2025/. Complete instructions for submission and other information can be found at https://www.neeley.tcu.edu/jcf-conference-italy
Papers will be reviewed by members of the conference scientific and program committees, and authors of selected papers will be notified in February 2025. For further questions, please contact audra.boone@tcu.edu, with subject line "JCF Special Issue Conference."
