About the Workshop
The goal of the workshop is to explore how large language models (LLMs) and generative AI can be applied in finance and accounting. With advancements in these technologies, a wide range of applications has emerged, such as:
- Financial analysis
- Price forecasting
- Portfolio optimization
- Financial reports and alternative data analysis
- Credit assessment
- Bankruptcy detection
However, challenges remain, including:
- Limited context windows of LLMs
- Complexities in converting unstructured data to structured formats
- Hallucinations
- The need for interpretability in financial applications
The workshop will bridge the gap between technological advancements and specific needs in finance by focusing on methodologies like:
- Fine-tuning of LLMs
- Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
- Prompt engineering
Call for Papers
We invite papers addressing domain-specific problems in finance and accounting using AI. We encourage applications using LLMs and generative AI, covering topics such as:
- Processing unstructured data
- Addressing hallucinations and improving interpretability
- Optimizing LLM prompts
- Integrating external data with LLMs through RAG
- Fine-tuning LLMs for financial applications
- Text-to-SQL applications
- Verification and evaluation techniques
- Financial modeling and risk analysis
- ESG scoring and financial fraud detection
