Conference dates
18 Mar 2025 - 19 Mar 2025
Location
Levi Summit, Levi (Kittilä), Lapland, Finland
Description
aalto.fi/lhfs
The objective of this boutique conference is to present state-of-the-art academic research on topics related to household finance. There will be one track of presentations for two days. The relatively small scale and exotic location of the conference will not only provide an environment for in-depth discussions, but also an opportunity to enjoy winter activities in beautiful scenery, and with some luck, a possibility to see Aurora Borealis.
PROGRAM COMMITTEE AND ORGANIZER:
Elias Rantapuska (Aalto University, chair), Zhi Da (University of Notre Dame), Samuli Knüpfer (Aalto University), Kasper Meisner-Nielsen (Copenhagen Business School), Kim Peijnenburg (Tilburg University), and Michael Weber (University of Chicago).
TOPICS: We welcome submissions from all areas related to household finance. Complete papers in an early stage will also be considered. Empirical, theoretical, and experimental papers are all welcome. Sample topics on household finance include, but are not limited to:
• Stock market participation
• Portfolio and security choice
• Personality, health, cognition, biology, and household finance
• Debt behavior, financial distress, default, bankruptcy, and debt resettlement
• Saving for retirement and financial decision-making of the elderly
• Financial literacy, financial education, and interventions for better financial decision-making
• Expectations, beliefs, and preferences
• Financial advice and advisors
• Climate change, sustainability, and household financial decision-making
• Machine-learning, algorithms, and data-driven household finance
PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE: Interested authors should submit their papers as a pdf-file by November 17, 2024 through the submission form: https://link.webropol.com/s/lhfs2025
