Call For Papers
2022 CJAR Annual Meeting

26-27 November 2022, Guangzhou, China

China Journal of Accounting Research (CJAR) will hold its 2022 Annual Meeting in Guangzhou on 26-27 November. The committee is now calling for papers. Interested authors should electronically submit a completed paper either in Chinese or in English. Preferred topical areas but are not limited to the following: Accounting and auditing, Corporate governance, Corporate social responsibility, Political economy, and Regulation, reform and liberalization. All submissions should be original and unpublished.

Accepted papers for the annual meeting are expected to offer an incremental contribution to the literature either through interesting research settings and institutional factors or through new evidence and implications relative to existing studies based on Western and developed economics. Studies could be based on single a jurisdiction or international sample, and either through quantitative or qualitative methods.

CJAR seeks to publish high-quality academic research papers that use state-of-the-art methodologies to investigate issues about accounting, corporate finance, auditing, and corporate governance in both emerging and developed markets. With the development of more than 10 years, CJAR has been serving as a bridge connecting China with the world and promoting academic exchange in accounting. According to the latest ranking by Scopus in 2021, CJAR is ranked in the top 30% of all internal journals in the English language in the Accounting category and in the Finance category respectively. CJAR was rated as 2 in the ABS Journal list and was a ‘B’ ranking in the 2019 Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) Journal list.

- Qiang Cheng (Lee Kong Chian Chair Professor of Accounting, Singapore Management University)
- Ming Yi Hung (Head and Chair Professor, Department of Accounting, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology)

1. Authors are willing to commit the papers to the CJAR and the meeting, please choose “2022 CJAR Annual meeting (submit to CJAR)”.
2. Authors are willing to commit the papers to the meeting only, please choose “2022 CJAR Annual meeting (submit to the meeting only)”.

Authors will receive e-mail confirming receipts of the submissions from the system if the papers are submitted successfully.
