Description

The Monash Business School at Monash University invites academics and PhD students to submit papers to be considered for presentation at the 12th Financial Markets and Corporate Governance Conference and PhD symposium (FMCG 2022). The conference and PhD Symposium will be held virtually. Registration is free.

Submitting full paper: 28 Feb 2022
Notification of acceptance of full paper: 10 March 2022

CONFERENCE ACADEMIC SESSIONS
Authors should submit their full papers by email to fmcg2022@monash.edu on or before 28 February 2022. They will need to submit two copies of their papers in pdf format; one with the authors’ information provided and the other without this information. They should indicate at the time of submission whether they would like their paper to be considered for one of the best paper awards. They may only choose one award category.

Five Conference Best Paper awards (500 AUD each)
One best paper award will be presented under each of the following categories
a. Accounting Information/ Disclosure Practices/Earnings Quality/Audit Fees
b. Asset Pricing/Financial Markets/Market Microstructure/Funds Management
c. Banking/Financial Institutions
d. Behavioural Finance
e. Corporate Finance/Governance/Social Responsibility

PhD SYMPOSIUM
The PhD Symposium will provide PhD students with the opportunity to present their working papers and receive expert feedback on their academic work. It will also enable students to interact and network with eminent researchers from universities across the globe.

PhD SYMPOSIUM SUBMISSION
PhD students should submit their full papers by email to fmcg2022@monash.edu on or before 28 February 2022. They will need to submit two copies of their papers in pdf format; one with authors’ information provided and the other without this information. They should indicate at the time of submission whether they would like their paper to be considered for one of the best paper awards. They may only choose one Award category.

ELIGIBILITY of Award – PhD Symposium
Only papers written by PhD students (sole authorship) will be considered for the PhD symposium award.

SPECIAL CONFERENCE ISSUE
The Pacific-Basin Finance Journal (Elsevier’s Journal) will run a special conference issue and all presenters at the conference are invited to consider submitting their papers for publication.

FMCG CONFERENCE 2022 PITCHING COMPETITION OPPORTUNITY
The FMCG 2022 provides a pathway to simultaneously engage in the conference and be part of the InSPiR2eS Global Pitching Research Competition (IGPRC: https://pitchingresearch.com/competitions/). The IGPRC offers prizes totalling $AU40,000. From those wishing to be considered, several sessions will be reserved at FMCG2022 for pitches deemed to be of sufficiently high quality.
