In cooperation with Ahlia University, Bahrain, and Brunel University London, UK, the Information Systems & eBusiness Network (ISN) is pleased to announce the Industrial Revolution & Business Management: 11th Annual PwR Doctoral Symposium (PwRDS) 2020 eJournal. This eJournal is available to all subscribers at no charge and contains abstracts of the meeting papers with links to the full text in the SSRN eLibrary.
The PwR Doctoral Symposium is an annual event organized by Ahlia University, Bahrain. This year marked the 11th version of the symposium, reflecting 15 years of international partnership with Brunel University London, UK through the PhD without Residence (PwR) program. The PwR program has graduated 50 PhD holders so far.
This annual gathering is a great opportunity for the PhD candidates as it provides a dynamic environment of discussion from field experts in both academic and industrial sectors. This has an enriching impact on the PhD researcher's thesis by providing better understanding and development. The output of the symposium is this proceeding.
This proceeding is a collection of papers presented at the PhD without Residence (PwR) annual symposium in its 11th edition. All the papers show in-depth, updated findings in relevant information technology and social science-related topics accordingly. This proceeding may serve early scholars as well as expert researchers in different trending multi-disciplinary topics related to the industrial revolution and technology advancement such as artificial intelligence (AI), internet of things (IOT), environmental compliance to technology, fintech, e-crisis management and digital marketing. In addition, there are papers covering other important topics more related to management such as obesity management, employee satisfaction and reward systems, equal gender representation in organization boards, and the Islamic business model. Every paper enclosed in this proceeding provides cohesive and unique discussion of an important area in the literature of these areas of knowledge. (Opening remarks by Dr. Dalia Mohamed Kamel, Dean of Graduate Studies and Research, Ahlia University.)
