The Institute for New Economic Thinking strives to encourage the development of new economic thinking. Its Working Paper series highlights some of the research conducted by scholars it supports and collaborates with. INET research deliberately casts a wide net, embracing not only work in pure theory, but also in more applied areas where advances in economics promise to contribute to solving some of the great challenges of the 21st century. Like the research, INET's Working Paper series is consciously interdisciplinary and often incorporates concepts from other disciplines such as history, political science, psychology, the physical sciences, and the humanities.
