Description: SSRN's Negative Results Special Topic Hub is a pilot we are running to experiment with researcher interest in sharing and reading research where negative findings were observed. These results may contradict research hypotheses, established scientific knowledge, and previous evidence or predictions and are typically characterized by a different, opposite, or absent correlation between observed phenomena. Negative results are an important part of the scientific record and impact the interpretation of scientific evidence. As we are running this pilot special topic hub, we will be learning about how making negative results discoverable across disciplines might help future researchers gain a more complete picture of learnings from others, potentially reducing wasted research time, effort, and cost.
