SSRN is pleased to announce a new experimental special topic hub where we are piloting making negative results research available. Here, our subject matter experts have curated a view into early-stage research, including preprints, working papers, and conference proceedings, from scholarship where a different, opposite, or absent correlation was detected.

NEGATIVE RESULTS SPECIAL TOPIC HUB
Hub Page: https://www.ssrn.com/index.cfm/en/removed/

Description: SSRN's Negative Results Special Topic Hub is a pilot we are running to experiment with researcher interest in sharing and reading research where negative findings were observed. These results may contradict research hypotheses, established scientific knowledge, and previous evidence or predictions and are typically characterized by a different, opposite, or absent correlation between observed phenomena. Negative results are an important part of the scientific record and impact the interpretation of scientific evidence. As we are running this pilot special topic hub, we will be learning about how making negative results discoverable across disciplines might help future researchers gain a more complete picture of learnings from others, potentially reducing wasted research time, effort, and cost.

SSRN, Elsevier's world-leading platform devoted to the rapid worldwide dissemination of early-stage research, is committed to advancing societal progress through sharing quality knowledge. Research on SSRN is free to download and upload.

It is important to note that many of these papers have not been edited or benefited from the pivotal role of peer-review, which validates and improves the quality of final published journal articles.

SSRN's LIBRARY
SSRN's searchable library contains abstracts, full bibliographic data, and author contact information for more than 1.2 million papers, more than 1.4 million authors, and full text for more than 1.1 million papers. This content can be accessed at https://papers.ssrn.com.

SSRN supports open access by allowing authors to upload papers to the platform for free through the SSRN User HeadQuarters at https://hq.ssrn.com - and by providing free downloading of those papers.

Downloads from SSRN in the past 12 months total more than 40 million, with more than 249.8 million downloads since inception.

SSRN's PROFESSIONAL DIRECTORY
Searching on an individual's name in the author field on our search page at https://ssrn.com/search provides a directory of scholars that includes contact information for authors, including email, postal, telephone, and fax information.

SSRN's MISSION
SSRN's objective is to provide rapid, worldwide distribution of research to authors and their readers and to facilitate communication among them at the lowest possible cost. In pursuit of this objective, we allow authors to upload papers without charge. And, any paper an author uploads to SSRN is downloadable for free, worldwide.
