Assistant Professor in Finance and/or Business Economics

The Department of Finance and Business Economics in the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington seeks to hire one or more qualified candidates to a full-time (100% FTE) position as a tenure-eligible Assistant Professor (0116) in finance and/or business economics to start as early as autumn quarter 2018. This would be a multi-year appointment with a 9-month service period with the possibility of renewal.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: We will consider candidates holding a Ph.D. (or those near degree completion) or equivalent foreign degree in finance or in a related field. The required terminal degree must be completed by the position start date for initial appointment as an Assistant Professor; a qualified candidate may be considered for temporary appointment on an acting basis with conversion to appointment as an Assistant Professor (0116) after degree completion.

We request from all applicants a cover letter indicating research and teaching interests, a curriculum vitae, at least three letters of recommendation, and examples of recently published or unpublished research. Successful applications will evidence candidate's suitability for duties as both a researcher and teacher in a major university business school.
