Ph.D. Economists

The Economic Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago is looking to hire Ph.D. economists with expertise in financial economics; microeconomics or macroeconomics.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: The Bank will consider applications from senior candidates with a strong publication record in top finance and economics journals and at least 3 years of experience in an academic or research setting.

Economists at the Chicago Fed are expected (1) to produce high-quality research for publication in refereed journals and (2) to provide analysis on topics relevant to the Bank's policy efforts for presentation in Bank publications and briefings to senior Bank management. Strong communications skills are particularly valued. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or a Doctorate in finance, economics, or a related discipline.
