Tenure-Track Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in Economics

Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in Economics (several posts) (Ref.: 201701255)in the Faculty of Business and Economics, to commence on July 1, 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a three-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should possess or be close to completing a Ph.D. degree with outstanding research promises. Strong candidates in the fields of macroeconomics and applied economics will be considered. The appointees should be able to teach doctoral, master's and undergraduate degree programmes, and are expected to commit to high-quality scholarly research and services. Applicants for appointment as Professor should have a proven record of high-quality scholarship and teaching, be able to conduct an ongoing active research agenda, and provide leadership and services within the Faculty of Business and Economics and the University. A globally competitive remuneration package commensurate with the appointee's qualifications and experience will be offered. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary, as well as leave, and medical benefits. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
