Faculty Positions in Finance

The Department of Finance at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) seeks to fill one or two faculty positions, subject to budgetary approval. Hiring rank is open, based upon qualifications. Appointment will be effective August 2018. The positions are open to candidates with any area of specialization in finance.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates should have an established record of (or considerable promise for) high quality research and teaching. Applicants should have completed their Ph.D. in Finance, Economics or a related field, or be close to completion in the case of applicants for the position of Assistant Professor.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL: The Stockholm School of Economics is a private and independent institution located in central Stockholm. It is the premier place for undergraduate, graduate and executive education in Sweden, with a unique relationship to the Swedish business and financial community. The School runs a joint doctoral program with Stockholm University. Teaching assignments encompass undergraduate and graduate programs, and courses are taught in English.

The Department of Finance has recently, together with the Institute for Financial Research (SIFR), created the National Center for Financial Market Research; the Swedish House of Finance (SHoF). Very generous grants from the government and the private sector supports our research infrastructure such as an active visitors program both for domestic and international researchers, a national PhD course program in Finance, and a data center that locates, collects, maintains and administers data that supports research in Finance.
