Assistant or Associate Professor of Finance

Applications are invited for one or more tenure-track positions in Finance starting August 2018.

Candidates' academic research specialty areas should include at least one of the main interest areas of corporate finance or investments/security markets. Teaching interests can include but are not limited to corporate finance, investments, banking and financial institutions, real estate, and risk management and insurance. Candidates must have a strong commitment to quality research and publication and to excellence in teaching.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Finance from a recognized institution of higher education by the start date and successful teaching at the undergraduate or MBA level. Evidence of scholarship beyond the dissertation will be viewed favorably by the search committee. Candidates at the Associate level should have an established record of publication in the top journals, a continuing program of research with potential for top-tier publication, and a willingness to teach in the MBA and/or Ph.D. programs.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT: The Department of Finance has a current enrollment of about 650 junior-senior Finance majors for the BS in Business Administration degree. The department offers required and elective courses for the MBA program, has an active Ph.D. program, and a planned MS in Finance program. The Department provides an environment that is highly supportive of research. Resources include the WRDS, CRSP, SDC, SNL, Eikon, Compustat, and other databases, Eventus, a resident database programming assistant, research assistants (doctoral students), and summer research support.

Trulaske, Sr. College of Business enrolls more than 4,000 undergraduate students, 340 students in the MAcc (150-credit) program, 100 MBA students, and 40 Ph.D. students.
