Senior Research Associate in Finance

The Department of Accounting and Finance at Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) seeks candidates for a one-year fixed-term Senior Research Associate position in Finance starting in October 2017.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT: The department offers an excellent research environment, with a high level of collegiality, generous research budgets, and subscriptions to state-of-the-art databases, a strong seminar series, and a senior visitors program. The Department of Accounting and Finance is one of the largest departments within LUMS - a world-ranked international business school that has consistently ranked among the UK's top ten universities for nearly two decades. In the 2014 Research Excellence Framework, LUMS was ranked first in the UK in research power and is one of few business schools whose programs are accredited by all three international business school accreditation bodies: AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates should have completed a Ph.D. in Finance or a related discipline and published at least one paper at the ABS 3 level. Candidates should be able to pursue their own independent research and publish in high quality international journals, and should have experience of delivering excellent teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the area of financial markets.
