1st Conference on Corporate Policies and Asset Prices (COAP)
Call For Papers
Thursday and Friday, 7 and 8 December 2017, Cass Business School, London, UK
Cass Business School is pleased to announce the 1st Conference on Corporate Policies and Asset Prices (COAP). This is a first-of-its-kind conference focusing specifically on the interactions between corporate decisions and asset prices. We invite authors to submit original, theoretical and/or empirical papers covering topics within the intersection of corporate finance and asset pricing.
TOPICS: Suitable topics include (but are not limited to):
- dynamic corporate finance models and their asset pricing implications
- the feedback from asset prices to corporate decisions
- structural estimation of dynamic models utilizing price data, and
- the explanation of asset pricing anomalies with corporate finance models.
PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE: The deadline for submissions is 7 August 2017, at 10:00pm GMT (United Kingdom time). There is no submission fee. Please email a PDF version of your paper to COAP@city.ac.uk. The file name must be [Presenting author's last name]_[Shortened paper title].pdf as in "Jones_InvestmentMomentum.pdf." Please include "COAP2017" in your email's subject. We expect to notify authors by 15 September 2017.
CONFERENCE STRUCTURE: Thursday sessions are between 9:00am and 5:30pm, with a keynote speech at lunch, followed by a conference dinner for speakers and discussants. Friday sessions are between 9:00am and 12:00 noon, followed by lunch. We will provide accommodation for speakers and discussants. Submissions by PhD students expecting to go on the academic job market in 2018 are welcome.
