The Argyros School of Business and Economics hosted the 2nd Chapman Conference on Money and Finance, titled Systemic Risk and the Organization of the Financial System, on Friday, May 12 and Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Chapman University. The event was free and open to the public.

2017 Keynote Address
The Argyros School was pleased to invite Thomas M. Hoenig, vice chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, to serve as the 2017 keynote speaker. Hoenig became a director on April 16, 2012. From 1991 to 2011 he served as the chief executive of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. In 2010 he served as a voting member of the Federal Open Market Committee.
