Position in Digital Business and Big Data

The Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Economics Department of SKEMA Business School is seeking applicants for an Associate or Full Professor position in Digital Business and Big Data, specializing in New Technologies and Strategy-focused Data-driven Business Models beginning on September 1, 2018. The position is based in Paris (France), on SKEMA's campus at La Defense (Business district).

This opening position is in relation with the development of a Joint Academic Program in Digital Business and Big Data established between Microsoft and SKEMA.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The successful candidate must have demonstrated excellence in research through publications in top-tier journals. He/she must possess a good track record in teaching. The position requires teaching in topics related to the management of new digital technologies for digital business and implementation of strategy-focused data-driven business models.

Funding for conference attendance, research support, and access to many attractive databases (such as WRDS, ThomsonOne, and Bureau van Dijk) is provided.

Members of SKEMA's faculty have published papers in Academy of Management Journal, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Harvard Business Review, Industrial and Corporate Change, Journal of International Business Studies, Organization Science, Organization Studies, Research Policy, Strategic Management Journal and others.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- PhD in Strategy or a related field.
- Publications in top-tier journals.
- A proven ability to deliver excellent teaching.
- Ability to teach in English.

ABOUT THE JOINT ACADEMIC PROGRAM BETWEEN MICROSOFT AND SKEMA: This partnership aims to create innovative educational content with the development of a joint Big Data Program, and to understand future careers in relation with new technologies.

In this context, the successful candidate will have a leading role to play in developing (and increasing visibility) of a Research Center dedicated to Digitalization and Big Data. More specifically, this Research Center will take the form of a careers laboratory whose purpose is to understand the jobs of tomorrow in connection with the emergence of new technologies. In order to allocate effectively his/her time at developing the Research Center and publishing at a high level, the successful candidate will benefit from strong academic and administrative support.
