The International Center for Finance (ICF) at Yale School of Management invites applications for full time Pre-Doctoral Research Associate in Finance positions. The ICF brings together faculty, students and practitioners to foster leadership in the understanding, practice and management of finance from multiple perspectives. Its goal is to support innovative research and educational activities within the context of Yale School of Management's broader perspective of business for the benefit of society.

This program provides an opportunity to gain experience in academic research before applying to a PhD program or other graduate study; and is designed for professionals with an undergraduate degree in finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, or computer science.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Research Associates (RA) will work closely with School of Management finance faculty assisting them in their research projects in various stages from conception through publication. The work may include, but is not limited to: quantitative and qualitative research and analysis, and coordination and management of information and data.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have completed a Bachelors or Master's degree by June 2017 and have strong quantitative and programming skills with regression analysis. Candidates with research experience in STATA, SAS, Python, R, or Matlab are strongly preferred.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and have advanced reasoning and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability with data collection and cleaning.
- Demonstrated understanding of research design and statistical skills.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Research experience in STATA, SAS, Python, R, or Matlab are strongly preferred. Demonstrated understanding of research design and statistical skills. Global orientation; experience working across countries and regions, and fluency in more than one language.
