The Center for the Study of Economic Liberty (CSEL) Research Paper Series makes available research papers and policy reports produced by scholars associated with CSEL. CSEL is a research center of the School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership, and the WP Carey School of Business, at Arizona State University. The Center is dedicated to evaluating the contribution of economic liberty to human betterment. CSEL is the home of the Doing Business North America Report, the Perspectives on Economic Liberty public lecture series, the CSEL research seminar, and the CSEL faculty/graduate student fellowship program. The Center is interested in expanding its research capacities in the voluntary governance of the commons, public choice and constitutional political economy, and the history/methodology of economics.
