The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's Office of Research Working Paper Series presents preliminary research by the Bureau's Office of Research staff on consumer finance topics including consumer financial decision making and consumer financial product markets. These preliminary versions of working papers are being shared with the aim of contributing to scholarly debate and soliciting constructive feedback. This work is also presented at research conferences and many of the papers are later published in peer-reviewed journals and other scholarly outlets.
