Biodiversity Special Topic Hub

SSRN’s Biodiversity Special Topic Hub provides a curated view into new early-stage research addressing one of the most complex challenges to our planet today, representing the species and organisms that work together to support life. Biodiversity is simultaneously one of our greatest natural defenses against climate change, and a complex system being destroyed by climate change. There is an urgent need to address the threats to biodiversity and protect the planet’s natural resources. This requires a global effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, protect habitats and promote sustainable practices in agriculture, fishing, and other industries. It also requires a greater recognition of the value of biodiversity and the role it plays in supporting life on Earth. By taking action to protect and conserve biodiversity, we can help to ensure a healthy and sustainable future for ourselves and future generations. This hub, presented in collaboration with the Elsevier Biodiversity research report, presents curated insights from many disciplines that may inform the ongoing conversation about biodiversity.

SSRN, Elsevier’s world-leading platform devoted to the rapid worldwide dissemination of early-stage research, is committed to advancing societal progress through sharing quality knowledge. Research on SSRN is free to download and upload.

It is important to note that many of these papers have not been edited or benefited from the pivotal role of peer-review, which validates and improves the quality of final published journal articles.
