Advanced Assistant/Associate/Full Professor - Tenure System - Academic Year

The Department of Accounting and Information Systems in the Broad College of Business at Michigan State University invites applications for a tenure track advanced assistant, associate, or full professor in accounting position.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Accounting or related field and have a primary research focus in financial accounting. Our ideal candidate will have a strong publishing record of impactful scholarship in top academic journals commensurate with their rank. The position's primary responsibilities include research, teaching, and engaging in service activities for the academic discipline and College. Candidates must have the ability to teach successfully in the undergraduate, Masters, MBA and Ph.D. programs.

We are looking for candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our current group of accounting and information systems faculty through their research, teaching and service. In addition, qualified applicants need demonstrated abilities in mentoring junior faculty and Ph.D. students.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT: The Accounting and Information Systems Department is known for our outstanding faculty as well as our excellence in research and teaching. The AIS department is ranked 9th overall (16th in the last six years) in research by the BYU research rankings. Our undergraduate, master's, and accounting doctoral programs are all ranked in the top 15 overall by the Public Accounting Report, and our undergraduate and master's programs are both are ranked 10th among departments with more than 24 faculty by the Public Accounting Report.
