Assistant Professor in Accounting, Full-time (AA26251)

The University of Washington Bothell, School of Business invites applications for a full-time, nine month, tenure-track opening in Accounting at the Assistant Professor level. The appointment will become effective in September of 2018.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: A doctorate (or foreign equivalent) in Accounting (or a closely related field) and academic experience after completing the Ph.D is required. Duties include teaching and developing an active research program with publications in leading academic journals. The candidate will teach both graduate and undergraduate courses.

ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY: The University of Washington Bothell campus was established in 1990 as a campus within the University of Washington system. We are located 15 miles northeast of downtown Seattle. We work closely with industry leaders as well as the smaller, innovative, and rapidly growing companies in software, electronic commerce, medical equipment, biotechnology, electronics, and aerospace. Our students work in companies such as Microsoft, Boeing, Expedia, ICOS, Amgen and Phillips. We also have a facility, the Eastside Leadership Center in Bellevue, WA, that currently serves our undergraduate and graduate students. All faculty members in the School of Business should expect to teach at both Bothell and Bellevue locations. Although our undergraduate program is currently located at the Bothell Campus, our MS Accounting Program is offered exclusively at the Bellevue campus in the evening.

Faculty members have complete access to the computing and library resources of the University of Washington, including commonly used financial databases via WRDS. The UW Bothell School of Business is accredited by AACSB and is deeply committed to the success of its faculty on both research and teaching fronts.
