JOB DESCRIPTION: The Schulich School of Business is seeking an outstanding scholar and educator in Accounting for a tenure-stream position at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor, effective July 1, 2018. Applicants should have a track record of outstanding research and teaching commensurate with rank, in at least one of the following areas: financial accounting, management accounting, auditing or taxation.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates will have a PhD in accounting, or a recognized accounting designation plus a PhD in a related field. Preference will be given to candidates who can: communicate effectively with both undergraduate and graduate students; supervise PhD students; teach advanced courses in the Master of Accounting Program, as well as the BBA, MBA and PhD Programs; produce outstanding independent accounting research and scholarship, with the potential for research collaboration with our colleagues; demonstrate teaching excellence, with curriculum development as an asset; contribute positively to the collegial governance of the Accounting Area and the School as a whole; and be eligible for prompt appointment to the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Pedagogical innovation in high priority areas such as experiential education and technology enhanced learning is an asset.
