Tenure-Track Faculty Position

The School of Accounting in the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University is accepting applications for one tenure-track faculty position at all ranks (with a preference for an experienced assistant, associate, or full professor) to begin in fall 2018. The School will consider applications for all teaching areas and all research areas.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified candidates should have a demonstrated record of publishing in top-tier and sectional-level academic accounting journals, a strong commitment to excellence in teaching (evidenced by superior teaching evaluations, teaching awards, etc.), and a desire to participate in doctoral education. Solicitation of external research funding is strongly encouraged in keeping with the University's status as a national research institution. Candidates who have very strong records of scholarship supported by extramural funding and who have the proven capacity or clear potential to bring externally sponsored research to Texas Tech University are encouraged to apply. Service duties include program-building and commitment to extra-curricular activities. Service to the School, College, and University is expected. Candidates must hold a doctorate from an AACSB International accredited university. Professional experience or certification is preferred but not required. Salary and benefits are highly competitive, and additional funding is available for summer research support, data acquisition, and conference travel.

For an exceptionally well-qualified candidate, the School of Accounting may offer the KPMG Professorship. The KPMG Professor of Accounting will work closely with doctoral students (chairing and serving on dissertation committees, advising summer papers, etc.) and will teach one or more doctoral seminars.
