The Stockholm School of Economics invites applications for 2 tenure track positions at the Department of Accounting.
ABOUT THE SCHOOL: The Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) is rated as the top business school in the Nordic and Baltic countries and is highly regarded internationally. SSE offers programs of the highest international standards, including bachelor, master, PhD, Executive Format MBA and executive education programs. The school also conducts world-class research. Our programs are developed in close cooperation with the research and business communities, which give our graduates great potential to attain leading positions in companies and other organizations. SSE is accredited by EQUIS, certifying that all of the main activities - teaching as well as research - are of the highest international standards. SSE is also the only Swedish member institution of CEMS and PIM, which are collaborations between top business schools worldwide, contributing to the high quality SSE is known for.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: The two tenure track positions are in business administration with a focus on financial accounting, management control and financial analysis. The basic requirement is that candidates are strong both in terms of research and teaching. Ideally, applicants should be able to teach in each of these areas at the undergraduate level. However, given that there are several openings, exceptional competence within one or two of these fields can compensate for shortcomings in the remaining field or fields. Qualified candidates should hold a doctoral degree or its equivalent, and must have completed said requirement before taking up the position. Applicants ranging from newly examined PhDs through more senior academics are welcome to apply, and senior applicants in the fields of financial accounting and financial analysis are particularly interesting.
A tentative starting date for the successful applicant is July 1, 2018, but the School is open to discussing other dates as well. Salaries are set on an individual basis.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE: To be considered for the positions, candidates need to submit: a) a letter of application articulating the candidate's fit with the position description, including research interests and teaching competence, b) a curriculum vita, c) copies of representative research, and d) names and contact information of three persons who are willing to provide references.
