Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Accounting

The Department of Accounting and Finance at Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) invites applications for an assistant professor position in Accounting, to start Summer 2018. While the department welcomes applications in all areas of accounting, it is particularly keen to further strengthen its expertise in the area of capital market research in accounting, bank accounting and textual analysis of accounting disclosures.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Accounting or a related discipline, or should be expected to complete their Ph.D. in the near future. Candidates should be able to pursue their own independent research and develop publications in high quality and top accounting journals and should be able to deliver excellent teaching in both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT: Accounting and Finance is one of the largest departments within LUMS - a world-ranked international business school which has topped the UK research rankings for nearly two decades. LUMS was ranked first in the UK in research power in the 2014 Research Excellence Framework and is one of few business schools whose programs are accredited by all three international business school accreditation bodies: AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB.
