Clinical Faculty Positions

The University of Mississippi Patterson School of Accountancy seeks to fill two non-tenure track clinical faculty positions for Fall 2018. One position will be in the area of tax. The second position will be available to candidates from all accounting specialties. Clinical faculty members play a vital role in accomplishing the mission of the Patterson School of Accountancy. Depending upon qualifications, all clinical faculty ranks will be considered. Subject to availability, funding may be provided for summer teaching and/or research.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL: The Patterson School offers the Bachelor of Accountancy, Master of Accountancy, Master of Taxation and Ph.D. in Accountancy. All degree programs are accredited by the AACSB. The Public Accounting Report consistently ranks the School's degree programs within the top ten in the nation. The School is administered by the Dean of the School of Accountancy, who reports directly to the Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: For the clinical tax position, an earned doctorate from an AACSB-accredited university or a Juris Doctorate and master's degree, a CPA, and teaching experience are required. For the second clinical position, an earned doctorate from an AACSB-accredited university, a CPA, and teaching experience are required. For both positions, ABD candidates in advanced stages of their dissertation with expected degree completion of no later than one year from their employment date will be considered. The successful applicant will be dedicated to excellent teaching, research and professional service.
