Tenure Stream Position in Accounting
The Department of Management, University of Toronto Scarborough, invites applications for a full-time, tenure stream appointment in Accounting. The appointment will be at the rank of Associate Professor and commence on July 1, 2018.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have a Ph.D in Accounting. We are interested in individuals with research interests in accounting, with specific attention to candidates who focus on behavioural and/or managerial and financial accounting. Candidates must have demonstrated excellence in research, and an established and sustained record of scholarly accomplishments. Evidence of excellence in research will be demonstrated by sustained contributions and publications in top ranked and field relevant academic journals, presentations at significant conferences, a research statement, and strong endorsements by referees of high international standing. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct innovative research at the highest international level and establish an outstanding, externally funded research program. Candidates also must have excellence in teaching, which will be demonstrated through teaching accomplishments, letters of reference and the teaching dossier submitted as part of the application. Applicants must have teaching interests in the area of Accounting.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsibilities include advancing the Accounting area's research agenda and teaching undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Toronto Scarborough. The successful candidate must be willing to take a leadership role in support of the launch of a new professional master program in Accounting and Finance (MAccFin) and to support the development and launch of a research-based master program in behavioural management.

The successful candidate will be a member of the tri-campus Graduate Department of Management at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto and will be expected to participate in its graduate programs.
