Assistant Professor - Accounting
The Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto invites applications for a tenure-stream appointment in Accounting. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor and will commence July 1, 2018.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants for the position must have or be near the completion of a Ph.D. in Accounting or a related field by the time of appointment. We seek individuals with an emerging or established record of excellence in research and teaching. Excellence in research is evidenced primarily by the quality of the research papers submitted as part of the application, as well as other publications in top-ranked and field-relevant academic journals, participation in highly-recognised academic conferences, presenting research at other highly-ranked schools, other noteworthy activities in accounting that contribute to the visibility and prominence of the discipline, and strong endorsements by referees of high international standing. Teaching excellence will be demonstrated by a strong teaching statement, strong endorsements from referees, and the teaching evaluations submitted as part of the application.
The successful candidate is expected to pursue innovative research at the highest international level, to publish articles in the top-tier academic journals, and to teach effectively at our undergraduate and graduate programs.
Salaries are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
