DBS and the Department of Accounting are seeking to recruit academics to join a team of established researchers working in areas such as auditing, financial accounting, management accounting and corporate governance.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- This position is located at the Melbourne Burwood Campus.
- Appointment is to a continuing position which is subject to an initial three (3) year probationary period.

The appointee will be expected to:
- Contribute to the School's teaching programs.
- Undertake and publish high-quality research in journals of national and international reputation.
- Participate in competitive external research funding activities.
- Contribute to the development of the School's research agenda.
- Participate in activities which enhance the School's disciplinary profile and reputation.
- Foster relationships with research, community, industry, government and professional partners and with other higher education institutions.
- Enhance the scholarly reputation of the University.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates will have a relevant PhD., or be near to completion of a PhD, as well as demonstrate a commitment to quality teaching and the capability to publish in high quality academic journals.

The successful candidate will typically be regarded as an early career researcher. Applicants must demonstrate:
- PhD (or PhD near completion) in a relevant discipline.
- Teaching experience.
- Evidence of progress towards high quality research publications.
- A commitment to fostering relationships with research, community, industry, government and professional partners and with other higher education institutions.
