Assistant/Associate/Full Professor

A tenure-track position in the Department of Accounting is available to begin in August 2018. Rank will be dependent on qualifications and experience. Applicants with research and teaching interests in all areas of accounting will be considered. Individuals with an interest in taxation are encouraged to apply. Applicants who are seeking a balance of teaching/research responsibilities will find a collegial work environment at UNI.

The successful candidate with a superior record of performance in scholarship, teaching, and service will also be considered for appointment as the Deloitte Professor of Accounting. The Deloitte Professor of Accounting is a visible symbol of the mutual respect between the University of Northern Iowa and the firm, and the holder of the Fellowship will become a goodwill ambassador for the firm.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Doctorate with an emphasis in Accounting from an AACSB accredited institution, or a JD from an ABA accredited institution with experience in taxation.
- Strong teaching and research record.
- Evidence of strong communication and interpersonal skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Professional certification.
- Work experience in accounting.
- Evidence of ability to create an engaged and applied classroom environment.
- Evidence of ability to advance the academic, professional and personal success of students.

The Department of Accounting (http://www.business.uni.edu/accounting) consists of 13 faculty members, approximately 520 undergraduate majors, and 20 Master of Accounting students. The department also serves an important role in the College's MBA program. The department has a long history of teaching excellence evidenced by the active engagement of our students.
