The AASB Working Paper Series disseminates current research or monographs relevant to AASB work on accounting and external reporting matters. These papers are published at the AASB SSRN, which is managed by the AASB Research Centre.

The AASB Working Paper Series welcomes working papers most relevant to the AASB work. These working papers are expected to be high-quality research or monographs that provide robust evidence or insights to stimulate discussions on an accounting or external reporting topic. Recommendations provided in these working papers would also help the AASB (or other international standards bodies) make decisions. Authors are encouraged to look at the AASB Work Program before submitting to the working paper series.

Although the primary focus of the AASB Working Paper Series is in the Australian context, working papers in the context of other jurisdictions may be considered.

Publishing at the AASB Working Paper Series does not preclude authors from publishing in other book or peer-reviewed journals. As the working papers are also published at the AASB SSRN, please read the SSRN Terms of Use for more information. We also encourage all authors to ensure that publishing their research as a working paper at the AASB Working Paper Series will not jeopardise opportunities to publish in peer-reviewed journals. Please ensure submitting papers doesn't breach any contract agreements in place with other publishers.

Downloads from SSRN in the past 12 months total more than 25.7 million, with more than 202.4 million downloads since inception.

Searching on an individual's name in the author field on our search page at https://ssrn.com/search provides a directory of scholars that includes contact information for authors, including email, postal, telephone, and fax information.

SSRN's objective is to provide rapid, worldwide distribution of research to authors and their readers and to facilitate communication among them at the lowest possible cost. In pursuit of this objective, we allow authors to upload papers without charge. And, any paper an author uploads to SSRN is downloadable for free, worldwide.

The Accounting Research Network (ARN) hosts research content. You can subscribe to new content notifications through the SSRN User HeadQuarters at https://hq.ssrn.com.
