Agriculture is the art and science of growing plants and crops, cultivating the soil, and raising livestock. The Agricultural Science Research Network on SSRN is an open access preprint server that provides a venue for authors to showcase their research papers in our digital library, speeding up the dissemination and providing the scholarly community access to groundbreaking working papers and early stage research. SSRN provides the opportunity to share different outputs of research such as preprints, preliminary or exploratory investigations, book chapters, PhD dissertations, course and teaching materials, presentations and posters among others.
Scholars and researchers in agriculture are addressing some of today’s most pressing concerns as agricultural and food systems are under the constraints of a growing population including high demand and pressure on finite natural resources; challenges of climate variability and change; and the complex demands of ensuring agricultural security in a global, interconnected economy. SSRN helps agricultural science scholars discover the latest research in their own and other areas of research including biology, chemistry, economics, and earth and planetary science, while providing a unique opportunity for researchers to submit early and novel work for review, feedback, and use by researchers within and beyond agriculture.
