Ninth Annual Meeting of the Society for Environmental Law and Economics
Call For Papers

Friday 26 and Saturday 27 May 2017 at Worcester College, University of Oxford

The ninth annual meeting of the Society for Environmental Law and Economics will be held on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 May 2017 at Worcester College, University of Oxford. Our meeting will be sponsored by the University of Oxford and Notre Dame Law School.

OVERVIEW: We hope to build upon the great success of past meetings, and continue to build a community of environmental scholars interested in working in the intersection of law, economics, and environmental or natural resource issues. We welcome both theoretical and empirical papers, as well as studies looking at problems at local, national and international levels.

In the spirit of collegiality, the meeting will use a workshop format in which all sessions are plenary. All participants are expected to attend all of the presentations. Our goal is to create a program that includes a variety of disciplinary perspectives, ideally consisting of 20-25 papers over the two-day period.

No funding will be available for travel or lodging expenses. Food and drink will be provided during the workshop and a dinner will be hosted on Friday evening for the speakers.

PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE: To submit a paper, please email a Word or PDF file to Josephine van Zeben ( with the subject line "SELESUBMISSION," by October 15, 2016.
