The Discipline of Finance is highly regarded and ranked consistently in top 20 in the QS World Rankings. The discipline also has a very active research agenda covering major topic areas of finance. The discipline teaches course work programs to both undergraduates and postgraduates with two undergraduate majors (finance and banking) and three postgraduate specialisations (finance, quantitative finance and banking). There is a vibrant undergraduate honours program and PhD program.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The discipline is seeking to appoint two Associate Professors or Professors of Finance who will:
- provide research leadership and conduct individual and joint research
- introduce colleagues to research contacts and research networks
- foster a collaborative and collegial approach to research
- actively contribute to the governance of the discipline

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: With a PhD in Finance, you will have expertise in one or more of the major areas of finance, as well as the ability to develop and maintain strong links with business and industry. You will be able to demonstrate excellence and leadership in teaching, including a track record of successful PhD supervision, and be a leading researcher in your field with publications in highly ranked international journals and success in obtaining competitive research grants.

TERM AND REMUNERATION: The successful applicants will be offered a full-time continuing position, subject to the completion of a satisfactory probation and confirmation period for new appointees, and will be offered an attractive remuneration package commensurate with the responsibilities of the position and the candidate's relevant experience and qualifications.
