Faculty Positions in Finance

The Collins College of Business is seeking to fill a tenure-track faculty position in finance starting August 15, 2018. All teaching and research areas in finance will be considered.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Evidence of effective teaching is preferred. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be a student-oriented teacher, and be able to demonstrate the ability (or potential for) intellectual contributions resulting in publications in finance and related areas. Qualified applicants must have a Ph.D. in Finance or a closely related discipline, or be near completion of degree.

Academic rank will be based on the applicant's academic qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include, life, health, disability insurance and retirement. ABOUT THE SCHOOL OF FINANCE, OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT, AND INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS: The School consists of fourteen faculty members. Teaching opportunities are available in the MS in Finance (MSF) and MBA, undergraduate programs. The MSF program is fourteen years old and has attracted outstanding students from more than thirty universities. In addition, the School has introduced the MS in Business Analytics (MSBA) building focusing on the use and management of big data and analytical processes. The School has a $5.0 million endowment which is managed by students in a Student Investment Fund.

ABOUT THE COLLEGE: The Collins College of Business is nationally ranked by Bloomberg Business Week and is fully accredited by AACSB International, which maintains the highest standards for business schools in the world. The College's four academic units - Accounting and Management Information Systems; Energy Economics, Policy and Commerce; Finance, Operations Management and International Business; and Management and Marketing - encompass 43 full-time faculty members. Current enrollment is approximately 800 undergraduate business students and 250 graduate business students. Degree offerings include the BSBA, BSIBL, MBA, MAcc, MEB, MS in Business Analytics and MS in Finance. The college has partnerships with universities in various parts of the world as well as excellent relationships with businesses and not-for-profit organizations in the region.
