JOB DESCRIPTION: The Department of Public Administration & Policy in the University at Albany's Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy invites applications for 2 full-time, tenure-track Public Management positions at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor beginning fall 2017. Candidates should be effective teachers and must be strongly committed to excellence in scholarly research. Faculty in Rockefeller College are expected to pursue an active research program, teach and supervise undergraduate and graduate students, and engage in service activities.

We welcome applications from candidates engaged in high-quality public management research and who employ a variety of methodological approaches. Candidates conducting research on collaboration, contracting, organizational behavior and theory, performance management, or strategic management are especially encouraged to apply.

- Applicants must have a PhD from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization by September 1, 2017
- Senior applicants must have a well-established research program
- Junior applicants must have a trajectory that suggests a tenurable research record is likely
- Applicants must be able to teach core public administration and management graduate and undergraduate courses
- Applicants must be willing and able to mentor graduate and undergraduate students
- Applicants must possess excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Applicants must address in their application their ability to work with culturally diverse populations

- Doctorate from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization in Public Administration, Public Management, Public Affairs, or an allied field such as Sociology and Psychology is preferred
- Experience obtaining grants is a plus.
