4th University of Connecticut Financial Risk Conference: Advances in Investments and Pensions Research
Call For Papers

Authors are invited to submit unpublished empirical or theoretical papers on any topic related to investments and pensions research. Possible topics include, but are not limited to: performance and risk in pension funds, mutual funds, hedge funds and other alternative investments, institutional investors' activism, the impact of governance and regulatory decisions on asset management, risk and risk management issues in defined benefit and defined contribution plans, retirement planning, communications and retirement choices, the measurement and risk of public sector pension liabilities, the role and influence of financial advisors and investment consultants, and other relevant topics in pensions and investment research.

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS: James Choi, Professor of Finance at Yale University, and Wei Jiang, the Arthur F. Burns Professor of Free and Competitive Enterprise at Columbia University.

CONFERENCE DETAILS: The conference is a full day conference and will be held at the University of Connecticut School of Business in downtown Hartford on Friday, May 25. There will also be a Conference Dinner for presenters and discussants in the evening of Thursday, May 24. For presenters and discussants we will pay for up to two nights stay at the Conference hotel, Conference meals and the Conference reception. The final program will consist of five or six papers (in addition to the Keynote presentations). Please see the programs for last year's conference at ECC-submission-2018@ese.eur.nl

TO SUBMIT A PAPER: Send a pdf copy of your paper by email to financeconferences@uconn.edu, stating "Conference submission" in the subject line. Submitted papers will be reviewed by members of the conference program committee. The deadline for submissions is January 21, 2018. We will notify authors of accepted papers by end-February, 2018. In March, we will contact invited participants with details on the program and other details regarding hotels, etc.
