HKUST Finance Symposium 2017
Call For Papers

December 11-12, 2017, Hong Kong

We invite you to submit your paper to the HKUST Finance symposium, to be held on Dec 11-12, 2017 in Hong Kong.

This year our theme is Corporate Finance, defined broadly. The conference will be run in a unique new mixed set-up. Unlike past years, when our symposium was invited-only, this year we plan to open up the program to include 6-8 high quality papers from a competitive section, in addition to our invited speakers below.

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS: Prof. Itay Goldstein (Wharton) and Prof. Phil Strahan (Boston College)

INVITED SYMPOSIUM SPEAKERS: Prof. Nittai Bergman (MIT Sloan), Prof. Claudia Custodio (Imperial College), Prof. Diego Garcia (University of Colorado at Boulder), and Prof. David Sraer (UC Berkeley)

PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE: Please visit our website: http://w3.bm.ust.hk/fina/2017symposium/index.html for more details, and submit your paper through our SSRN conference webpage at: https://hq.ssrn.com/conference=HKUST-2017

The deadline for submissions is Sunday, September 3, 2017, midnight US PST (night between September 3 & 4). We expect to send out decisions before the end of September.

CONFERENCE DETAILS: The symposium schedule allows plenty of room for detailed discussions and interactions in a niche, small group setting; and presenters and discussants typically stay for the whole duration to benefit from it. We are unable to reimburse travel or other expenses for presenting authors or discussants, but are happy to waive their conference registration fees of US$350 (including refreshments, lunches and a conference dinner; 'early bird' rate US$300 before November 15).

We are excited about the symposium, and hope to see you in Hong Kong in December!
