The Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia seeks an economist, at either the junior or senior level, to conduct research in urban and regional economics, real estate markets, state and local finance, local public goods, local labor markets, industrial organization, or innovation and technological change. Responsibilities include actively engaging in research for publication in top-tier academic journals, briefing the Bank's president on policy issues, and writing occasional nontechnical articles for Economic Insights, our quarterly publication.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent research skills are vital, as are superior writing and speaking skills. Both established research economists and new Ph.Ds. are encouraged to apply. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in economics or reasonably expect to complete all requirements for the degree by September 2018.
