JOB DESCRIPTION: The School seeks to appoint a renowned scholar in the role of Professor of Economics, in any field. Successful applicants will provide academic leadership in the ongoing development of the School’s teaching and research programs in any area of economic theory, econometrics or applied economics. The appointee will be expected to make a significant contribution to further enhancing the School’s performance and international reputation.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should possess a PhD and have an outstanding record of research, as evidenced by publications in top academic journals, and success in securing external research grant funds. Applicants should also have an excellent record in teaching and supervision of PhD students, and engagement with the wider community.

REMUNERATION: This is a full-time, continuing, teaching and research academic appointment. A competitive salary package will be negotiated with the successful applicant, including assistance with relocation expenses. A market loading may be negotiated. Base salary for professorial appointment is (Academic Level E) AUD$175,070 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range AUD$204,832 p.a.).
