The KDIC Research Paper Series aims to enhance the knowledge on the workings of financial markets and their impact on financial stability, especially from the perspective of deposit insurance systems. It is a compilation of papers previously published in the Financial Stability Studies, a journal of finance and economics published by KDIC, and other working papers that deal with broad issues relating to financial markets and financial system stability.

The findings of these papers not only help to guide KDIC in performing its duty as an important part of the financial safety net in Korea, but also contribute to the development of the financial markets. It is our hope that the KDIC Research Paper Series will be of use to as many people as possible who are interested in deposit insurance and current issues affecting the economy and financial markets.
